Local favorite Keith Hickman makes his debut with the Pops
As part of the orchestra’s annual Summer Concert Series, on Saturday, July 21, Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops will present “Rock Around the Clock” featuring the popular entertainer Keith Hickman. The show will feature rock and roll oldies plus a variety of music performed by the popular orchestra and their conductor.
Keith Hickman is a shore favorite and an in-demand entertainer who has the ability to sound like the original artists in virtually every genre of music he performs – from Andrea Bocelli, to ACDC and everything in between. Keith worked extensively in Nashville on his own projects and also as a background singer. Keith once sang backup for the legendary Ronnie Milsap who recorded 40 #1 Hits!
The Jersey Shore Pops is a big band orchestra with a string section, modeled after the orchestras of the Frank Sinatra era which featured strings along with a big band sound. The orchestra features 25 of the finest area musicians either born or based in New Jersey, becoming one of the most popular orchestras at the Jersey Shore. It has become an attraction for tourists from all over the East Coast for the past eight years.
The Pops was founded by entertainer and conductor Linda Gentille in 2009. When not conducting the Jersey Shore Pops, Linda is an in-demand entertainer, arranging music and traveling the world with her own big band orchestra, appearing on luxury cruise lines and in performing arts centers across the U.S. Linda conducts and performs over 75 concerts each year, combining seamlessly with hundreds of different musicians.
The four-concert Pops Summer Series will be held at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center in Cape May Court House. Each concert will begin at 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 21 – “Rock Around the Clock” starring Johnny Petillo
Saturday, July 28 – “The Singing Ventriloquist” starring Michael Minor
Saturday, Aug. 4 – “Sinatra” starring Peter Oprisko

Tickets are $30 and $40, with a group rate for 10 or more of only $25. Parking is free at the facility and there is handicapped seating available.
