Enjoy Free, Kid-friendly Activities During Family Fun Days at the Cape May Lighthouse this Summer

The 1859 Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township, becomes a beacon for family fun this summer during Family Fun Days. Kids will enjoy hands-on activities like pirate hat-making, along with performers and kid-friendly entertainment, and adults will enjoy browsing among the crafts vendors, all at the base of the lighthouse. Climb the 199 steps to the top and enjoy the best view of the Jersey Cape. Family Fun Days are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, now through Aug. 22. Admission is free to activities on the grounds and there is a separate admission to climb the lighthouse: $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages 3-12). Family Fun Days are sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), a multifaceted not-for-profit organization committed to promoting the preservation, interpretation and cultural enrichment of the Cape May region for its residents and visitors. MAC membership is open to all. To make advance reservations or for information about MAC’s year-round schedule of tours, festivals and special events, call (609) 884-5404 or (800) 275-4278, or visit www.capemaymac.org.
