Flip Flopz Beach Bar & Grill opened its doors with much anticipation on September 19, 2007. This date was the start of the annual Fall Irish Festival, and many festival-goers were anxious to see what all the hype was about. What they found was a beautiful restaurant located at the north side of Wildwood’s Entertainment District. Joe Mahoney, Proprietor, his family, and staff strive to make each patron’s visit a memorable one.
In season, Flip Flopz offers a full breakfast menu Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. while dinner is served from 4:30 pm daily. Chef specials are offered daily for lunch and dinner, and the late night menu is offered until at least 12 midnight. Flip Flopz Beach Bar & Grill serves American cuisine with a Caribbean flair. The Flip Flopz menu appeals to every sort of appetite and is family friendly, offering a kids’ menu with their favorites. From soups to salads, appetizers to entrees, all items are prepared fresh and homemade on the premises.
Get started with a Flip Flopz Flat Bread such as the Bruschetta Margarita or Hawaiian Luau. The Flip Flopz “Signature” King Crab Chowder includes generous jumbo lumps of fresh King Crab. Flip Flopz also serves locally caught Flounder either broiled or stuffed with jumbo lump crabmeat. Be sure to try the Flip Flopz Chicken Parm – proclaimed to be the best around. Enjoy ocean breezes with your meal on one of the two outdoor patios.
Experience daily Happy Hour Monday through Thursday 4 to 7 pm and Fabulous Friday Happy Hour from 3 to 7 pm featuring live entertainment and drink specials. The Flip Flopz bar area also features favorite finger foods and apps for only $5 on Friday evenings. Bar patrons choose from the twenty eight varieties of cold beer and an extensive menu of exclusive Caribbean cocktails. Every seat is a great seat for sporting events, with views of the 17’ High Definition flat panel TVs scattered throughout the grill.
If that isn’t enough to satisfy, take a walk upstairs to Tiki Topz by the pool with fabulous views of the Hereford Inlet. Tiki Topz is sure to please with live entertainment during happy hour and drink of the day specials. “Flip Flopz is a great place to work. The building is beautiful with a breathtaking view from the pool deck. The 1st floor bar is gorgeous. It has a large dance floor with a great sound system and lights. There are over 20 high definition TV’s that I can play my music videos on. Although this venue is only a few years old, its biggest asset is its staff. It’s a joy to work with a team of people that have a common goal and treat each other like family. Flip Flopz is truly a unique working atmosphere and I am fortunate to be part of it,” he states.
Cape May County crowds flock to Flip Flopz on weekend nights as it has quickly become the hottest place for dancing with state of the art entertainment and the area’s most renowned DJ’s. Once the sun goes down, dance the night away as the party gets started at 9 p.m. Thursday through Monday during the summer season and on Friday and Saturday during offseason.
