Pride Month Kickoff

Come celebrate the beginning of Pride month with a free-admission event. Hear speakers, try a pride-themed drink, and celebrate what makes each of us unique with this event hosted by Equality Cape May.  

Wonder’s Birthday Bash at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier

Come out for Wonder’s Birthday Bash at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier. Celebrate Wonder Bear’s Birthday, and celebrate 93 years on the Ocean City Boardwalk with fireworks at 9 p.m.   

Ocean City Flower Show 

Friday through Sunday, June 2 through 4 

Music Pier, Ocean City  

See beautiful commercial, amateur, and children’s flower displays at the Music Pier. Show times are Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Skato Remembering Kato” Skateboarding Celebration

Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m.

Ocean City Skate Park

The event features a competition, music and fun. It’s named for Kato, a white German shepherd from the Humane Society of Ocean City, the city’s no-kill animal shelter. Kato passed in January. All proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society. A concert by Ill Rendition will begin at 1 p.m., and the skate competition starts at 2 p.m. Admission is free (with donations accepted and appreciated.) There will be a $20 registration fee for each skater.

Angelus Chorus Wildwood Concert 

Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m.  

Byrne Plaza in Wildwood 

Join the Angelus Chorus – Cape May County’s community choral group – for a lovely late-spring concert in Wildwood. Community members from across the county come together to celebrate the joy of singing. All of the donations from this event go to local charitable causes.  

West Cape May Strawberry Festival

The annual festival that celebrates our favorite red fruit (sorry, tomatoes) returns for another year. Come to Backyard Park for the annual festival and enjoy strawberry-related goods and festivities.  

Flounder Fishing Lecture 

Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Avalon Free Public Library 

Captain Barrett Francis will discuss local flounder fishery. This lecture will cover when and where to fish, tides, habits, baits, and rigs to make the most of the flounder fishing season in Avalon and surrounding areas.

Come out for a lovely choral concert at Middle Township High School. Admission costs $5 and benefits The Branches in Rio Grande, a non-profit that serves the homeless and marginalized. The Angelus Community Singers are a local choral group who bring the power of song to venues across the county.
