Here’s what’s going on at the shore in early February.

Improv Jazz Concerts in Ocean City 

Sundays in February at 2 p.m.  

Weekly featured artists will exhibit their creative and artistic skills as they improvise, within their designated art form, while an esteemed group of jazz musicians play their music.

National Youth Wrestling  

Thursday, Feb. 2 – Sun, Feb. 5  

Wildwoods Convention Center 

The Atlantic Coast Wrestling Association hosts an elementary and middle school wrestling tournament for grades K through 8, with over 1,500 wrestlers! Admission is $20 for the day and $50 for the whole event. For more details, check out the wildwoodsnj.com calendar of events. 

Harborside Lecture: Tom Reed

Tom Reed, of Reed’s Beach, the Migration Count Coordinator will present: “Cape May, migration capital of the world. Join the Nature Center for this weekly lecture series, every Thursday through Mar. 23 – each week features a different local speaker.

The CMCo Prosecutor’s Office invites the residents and business community of Cape May County to join us for “Stop The Hate,” a community forum that will help our community members recognize bias incidents and hate crimes. Raising awareness about bias incidents and hate crimes is a major concern in communities throughout NJ. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Community Outreach Unit will be rolling out their SAFE PLACE INITIATIVE.

Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Join the Cape May Bird Observatory’s Migration Count Coordinator, Tom Reed, to learn about the newest long-term seasonal research project, Springwatch! This site in Cape May Point is perfectly positioned to capture the diversity and quantity of this bird migration phenomenon, involving over 100 species and 100,000+ individuals. By the end of this program, you’ll understand the significance of this flyway and leave knowing more about the various songbird, shorebird, raptor, and seabird species that utilize it.
