Ragtime to Swingtime with the Vintage Jazz Band 

Friday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. 

Ocean City Free Public Library   

Take a musical trip back in time with the Vintage Jazz Band, a 6-piece group that plays popular music standards of bygone eras. Between songs, a short backstory about the song, title or composer of the next tune is often given, providing an interesting and entertaining presentation. 

Ocean City Pickleball for Special Ed.

Saturday, Jan. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Ocean City Sports and Civic Center

In the Special Olympics, the term “Unified” designates sports in which athletes with disabilities team up with people from the community or local teams. The inaugural event in Ocean City will include 16 athletes with disabilities such as down syndrome, autism and cerebral palsy. They range in age from teens to young adults.

Play will be broken up into 10-minute sessions geared toward teaching the game.

Kids event: Pete the Cat Party 

Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. 

Join the Wildwood Crest library for a variety of Pete the Cat activities! They will celebrate Pete with stories, crafts, snacks, and more! Stay cool and do good! The library will be accepting donations for the county animal shelter during this event. 

Author Talk with Mary Dixon 

Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. 

Avalon Free Public Library 

Author Mary Dixon Lebeau will be visiting to talk about her book, “Secret Jersey Shore: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, & Obscure.” A former newspaper columnist, Mary is now a freelance writer whose work has appeared in a variety of publications. A Q&A and book signing will follow.

Lake Lilly South End (in Cape May Point) 

Join the Cape May Point Environmental Commission for a community walk on Lake Lilly, a lake known for abundant wildlife. Experts with the commission will help you identify the diverse waterfowl that can be seen on the lake.

Improv Jazz Concerts in Ocean City

Hidden Level Games, 1613 NJ-47 S, Rio Grande 

Pokémon League is a casual play environment for the Pokemon Trading Card game. This is for people of all ages who would like to meet up and play or LEARN how to play. If we have enough people coming every week we will start doing league challenges and tournaments. Come join us every Sunday at 1 p.m. for this free event.
