The Equity professional, award-winning East Lynne Theater Company’s “Tales of the Victorians” returns for its 27th year! Take tea, indulge in tasty treats and listen to stories by famous American authors read by ELTC performers and friends, for only $12. Children are welcome, and ages 12 and under are free. “Tales” are all in Cape May, except for one North Wildwood location.
Performers include Stephanie Garrett, Lee O’Connor, Michele LaRue, James Rana, Suzanne Longacre and Gayle Stahlhuth.
The summer schedule is 4 p.m. on most Thursdays beginning June 23 at The Blue Rose Inn and Restaurant, 653 Washington St., with Stephanie and Lee performing. There will be no “Tales” on June 30 and July 21.
Other “Tales” include: July 7 at The Chalfonte Hotel, 301 Howard St.; July 14 at The Peter Shields Inn, 1301 Beach Ave.; July 28 at The Blue Rose Inn and Restaurant; Aug. 4 at Avair Tea and Guest House, 2400 Central Ave., North Wildwood; Aug. 11 at The Chalfonte Hotel; Aug. 18 at The Leach House, 1011 Lafayette St.; and Aug. 25 at The Peter Shields Inn.
“Two Scoops and a Story” returns on Tuesday, June 28 at 3 p.m. hosted by The Henry Sawyer Inn, 722 Columbia Ave., and homemade ice cream made by The Vanilla Bean Creamery will be served. Adults are still $12, but ages 12 and under are $6.
Meanwhile, on ELTC’s mainstage is the musical revue and trivia competition “Rodgers’ Romance,” running through July 23, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:30 p.m.
