Drink of the Week: Fish House Sauvignon Blanc

We snagged this week’s drink of the week on special sale from our friends at Gleeson’s Liquors. A great $10 value, Fish House Sauvignon Blanc is a great way to prepare your drinking palate for the warm summer months ahead. This crisp white is filled with aromatics characteristic of our warmest season inclusing lemograss, straw, limeleaf, and a hint of sugar cane to complete its sweet scent. Its flavor profile is rich with notes of citrus, lemon zest and even a bit of Georgia peach.

Fish House offers a well-balanced finish and promises to become a perfect patio wine in summer 2014. In fact, we were so inspired by its fresh, fruity flavor, we decided it was most appropriate for our bottle of Fish House to hit the beach! Here it is posed on our local sands. Can’t you just hear the waves crashing and the wine pouring?

White wine-lovers will also be happy to know that Gleeson’s is running a number of specials throughout the week. The second most exciting? Conundrum white wine blend, featuring Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Viognier and Sémillon grapes, is now on sale for just $25.99 while supplies last. For the latest on Gleeson’s discounts on these and other wines, visit the store at 565 Sea Isle Boulevard in Ocean View or give them a call at (609) 624-9463. Happy drinking!
