Girls Weekend

Each spring and autumn, bargain-conscious ladies gather in Sea Isle City for “Girls Weekend,” hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. 2014 Spring Girls Weekend will take place Fri. to Sun., April 4 to 6, when discounts and special offers will be available at restaurants, boutiques, salons and other businesses throughout town – it’s an event no savvy-shopper will want miss.

During Girls Weekend, ladies will enjoy savings on salon and spa treatments, fashion apparel and accessories, overnight hotel accommodations and more. Local retailers will feature many bargains, such as 20-70% store-wide discounts and $5 gift certificates with each $25 purchase. To keep patrons energized, eateries will offer a variety of food specials, ranging from $34 three-course dinners to discounts on pizzas, and nearby watering holes will offer tempting drink specials, including $5 top-shelf martinis. There will also be wine tastings and dancing – plus some merchants will offer complimentary refreshments.

Access to Art Pop Up Gallery
Friday-Saturday, April 4th & 5th beginning at 5 p.m.
Where: House of Print – 1288 Hornet Rd, Erma

Access to Art will be held at House of Print, located at 1288 Hornet Road in the Cape May County Airport April 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and April 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The team at House of Print will transform production facility of the graphic design firm into a pop-up gallery, an unconventional venue to display work by professional and student artists for a limited time.

Proceeds from art sales as well as limited-edition Access to Art t-shirts, prints and stickers will be donated to the Lower Cape May Regional School District’s art programs.

The Aristocats
Friday, April 4th beginning at 7 p.m.
Where: Middle Township Performing Arts Center – 212 Bayberry Dr, Cape May Court House

Friday Evening Frog Hike
Friday, April 4th beginning at 7 p.m.
Where: Cape May Point State Park, Cape May

Join us every Friday in April for a short presentation about frogs and their calls, followed by a short hike down the Red Trail. Bring flashlights! This is a family friendly event. Participation costs just $3 per person.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Wild Walk for Kids
Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Cape May County Park & Zoo – 707 North Route 9, Cape May Court House

Welcome to the first annual Wild Walk for Kids fundraising event to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties! The Wild Walk for Kids event will start off with a two mile walk on the grounds of the Cape May County Park & Zoo followed by a celebration featuring food, music and fun activities for the whole family.
Registration fees ($25 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under) include lunch and an event t-shirt for each participant. While there is no fundraising requirement, walkers are encouraged to each raise at least $100. Every dollar raised makes a difference!

Feis at the Beach
Saturday, April 5th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center – 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood

Cummins School of Irish Dance presents Feis at the Beach. Doors open at 9 a.m.; Irish dance competitions are 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The competitions will include over 1,000 dancers of all ages and expertise. Feis will be choreographed to music and prizes will be awarded. A number of vendors will be displaying and selling many Irish products. FREE admission! Lower Township Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: Freeman Douglass Memorial Park, Erma

The Easter Bunny hops into Lower Township on April 5 for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event will be held at Freeman Douglass Memorial Park located next to Lower Cape May Regional High School on Route 9, Erma. The hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt is recommended for toddlers and children up to the fourth grade.

FrogFest

Join us for a frog-friendly puppet show, lessons, games and crafts about frogs. Bring a dressed up toy frog for the Best-Dressed Frog Contest. Call (609) 884-2159 to register. Cost is $3 per person.

Wildwood Wholesale Gift Show
Tuesday-Thursday, April 8th to 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center – 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood

This wholesale only tradeshow features souvenirs, gifts, jewelry, toys, candy and more. There will be an entrance fee for participants. Free admission. Call 508-261-1800 for details.
