Drink of the Week: Blueberry Pie Martini

We enjoyed this week’s winning cocktail with an equally impressive view of Cape May’s Harbor. A signature cocktail of the Harbor View Restaurant, the Blueberry Pie Martini is as irresistible as the dessert it is named for. Even better, it’s not so sweet that it can serve solely as a dessert martini. Its citrus undertones balance its flavor, making it a great cocktail choice before, during, AND after dinner! Skillfully prepared for us by Harbor View bartender Sammy, the Blueberry Pie is made with a blueberry vodka base, a splash of lemonade, and sprite and is served in a martini glass rimmed with sugar. A lemon twist garnish adds a finishing touch of sophistication. If blueberry is not your personal fruit of choice, opt for the Harbor View’s Cranberry Bog signature cocktail instead. Made with a cranberry vodka base and finished with a splash of club, the Cranberry Bog is a a potent patrons’ favorite.

Sample this week’s drink of the week for yourself at the Harbor View’s Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and you surely will not be disappointed. Happy Hour discounts include $3 drafts, $2 Coors Light, Miller Lite, & Yuengling, and $3 well drinks. If you’d like some food with that Blueberry Pie, check out the Harbor View’s selection of half-price Happy Hour appetizers including buffalo wings, fried calamari, chicken tenders, fried clams, fried mozzarella, steamed clams or mussels, and even clams casino.
