Tromeo’s Halloween Scare

Will Keenan premieres “Tromeo’s Halloween Scare!” at St. Babs church through Oct. 31. Highlights include a haunted tour, a “Zombie Prom” on Halloween night, Will Keenan’s special readings of the poems of Edgar Allan Poe (Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.; $10), and a “Trunk Or Treat” for parents and kids. Oktoberfest at Morey’s Piers
Friday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Oct. 8
Morey’s Mariner’s Pier, 3501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
The ancient German tradition of merriment, roller coasters, tilt-a-whirls, beer, pretzels and bratwurst comes to the Wildwoods with Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest. Mariner’s Pier will be open for Oktoberfest from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Jumbo’s restaurant will feature a special themed selection of Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, German potato salad, schnitzel and more. On tap, guests will find a wide selection of beers and tasting flights to be enjoyed at an outdoor “biergarten” located behind Jumbo’s with live entertainment from The Oompah-Delics. Monarch Festival

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., New Jersey Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May will hosts its first ever Monarch Festival. Much is being planned for all ages, including crafts, games, tours, workshops, butterfly tagging demonstrations, a food and beer garden and live music by local Blue Bone favorite, Jay Bethel.
