Whitesboro Walk for a Cure

Rise and shine and get your walk on for breast cancer at the 5th Annual Whitesboro Walk for a Cure event at the Cape May County Park & Zoo (Pavilion #1 and Bandstand) on Oct. 10. This is a Middle Township Event; you don’t have to live in Whitesboro to participate in this special walk that helps support the Susan G. Komen Foundation in its and our efforts to bring awareness to this deadly disease. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a Piloxing warm up with Stephanie Thomas who teaches classes at Miracles Fitness in Rio Grande and Muscle World in Cape May Court House. The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. Goody bags and T-shirts will be given to the first 50 adult participants! Cost is a $10 donation. This brand new addition to the 4-H line-up will take place at Lehner Farm, 175 Route 47 South, Dias Creek, on the following dates: Saturday, Oct. 10, Saturday/Sunday Oct. 17-18 and Saturday/Sunday Oct. 24-25. Activities will include the corn maze, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, a pumpkin decorating station and refreshments. The corn maze will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The corn maze is a fundraiser sponsored by the 4-H Livestock Committee and the CMC Board of Agriculture. The fee is $5 per person for the maze or $20 for a family of 5 or more.
