Cape May Stage Presents “The Whipping Man”

Cape May Stage presents “The Whipping Man” by Matthew Lopez, which takes place in Richmond, Va. in April 1865. The Civil War is over and Caleb Deleon, a Jewish Confederate officer, returns home after being severely wounded. His two former slaves care for him on the last night of Passover. The pain of their enslavement will not be soothed by this tradition, and deep buried secrets from the past come out as the play comes to its shocking climax. Admission is $38 for adults, $33 for seniors (62+), $18 for students and Active Duty Military. Regional Gymnastics Championships

The Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce invites you to “come out of your shells” and join the fun of the 17th Annual Stone Harbor Turtle Trot 5K Race and Two-Mile Fun Walk! Stone Harbor’s beautiful Diamondback Terrapins crossing the town’s roads in search of an area to nest inspired the name of our race, and we will, once again, be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Diamond Terrapin Program at The Wetlands Institute. Our race will begin at 8:00am. The 2-mile fun walk will begin at 8:05 a.m. Race day registration and pre-registered runner check-in begins at 6:45 a.m. at the Lifeguard Shack parking lot on 95th Street and the beach, with the 5k Race commencing at 8 a.m. and the Fun Walk beginning just five minutes later.
