The largest kite festival in North America taking place on the Beach at Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center featuring kite makers from around the world flying their most incredible colorful creations. Unlocking of the Ocean and Business Persons Plunge

3rd Annual 31 Heroes Memorial Beach Challenge

Where: 8th Street Beach, Ocean City
The race will consist of team and individual entrants in three separate events – The Stand Up Paddle Ocean Challenge, A SEAL Team – approved Obstacle Course Challenge and a Kids Fun Run as well as a Patriot Ceremony to honor our veterans and fallen warriors. Explore the Shore

Where: Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May
Discover the secrets of Cape May Harbor as we explore the shore and marsh. Join our naturalists as we hike the beach, pull a seine net (weather permitting), and encounter an incredible diversity of marine life. We’ll learn about the fascinating lives of the animals that inhabit our coastal and wetland habitats; including the fascinating and ancient Horseshoe Crab. Have an up-close experience with horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and other local marine critters in our laboratory and learn why these animals are so important. Walk-ins welcome. No preregistration necessary.

Beachcomber’s 3rd Annual Memorial Day 5K Run/1 Mile Walk
May 24th at 9am
Where: Beachcomber Camping Resort, 462 Seashore Road, Cape May
It’s Beachcomber Camping Resort’s 3rd Annual Memorial Day 5K Run/1 Mile Walk to benefit Cape Regional Medical Center. Registration begins at 8:15 am Fun Run/Walk begins at 9am. All proceeds go to Cape Regional Medical Center. Prizes awarded to the top finishers (male & female) in each age group: 17 & under, 18-28, 29-39, 40-50 & 51+. Prizes awarded to the male & female who raises the most money with their walk/run as well!

Jimmy’s Smokin’ Pig Roast

Come watch grill Master Jimmy Burton in action at The Rusty Nail as he roasts a whole Berkshire pig from Cape Resorts’ very own Beach Plum Farm. Piggy Platters and Porkwiches are palate pleasers for all ages. Starts at 4pm on Monday nights- this is a popular event, so get there early.

Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal

The exquisitely talented actress and artist, Jane Seymour, visits Ocean Galleries (9618 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ) for a Memorial Day exhibition, bringing an extraordinary collection of her latest oil paintings and watercolors. “Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal” opens Friday, May 15, 2015 and runs through Monday, May 25, 2015, with all artwork on display available for acquisition.
