BeachGlow Music Festival

BeachGlow Concerts for Charity, Inc., the only non-profit EDM concert producer in the nation, will bring a concert to the beach in Wildwood at Burk Avenue. The festival will feature a variety of vendors where guests can shop, eat and explore, along with a general store selling essentials, BeachGlow T-shirts and EDM merchandise. There will also be professional body painters working the festival, a dunk tank, beach games and activities, and a beer tent for ages 21 and over. 30th Exchange Club of Ocean City Annual Fishing Tournament (The Ocean City 1000)

On July 9, 2016, the Exchange Club of Ocean City is hosting its 30th Annual boat only Fishing Tournament commonly known as The Ocean City 1000. Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest Flounder and heaviest Bluefish. Fishing is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Great awards and BBQ to follow at 4 p.m. to be held at All Seasons Marina at the foot of the 34th Street Bridge in Marmora. Proceeds will benefit the Marine Mammal Stranding Center with children’s educational programs in Cape May County and the Randles Boys Foundation to assist families with Cystic Fibrosis. The Captain’s Meeting is Friday, July 8 at the Ocean City VFW at 7 p.m.

6th Annual Brendan Borek Low Tide Beach Ride

This year’s Low Tide Beach Ride kicks off at 6 p.m. on July 9. Sign up at ltbr.ticketleap.com/2016 or at Brendan’s Fund Store, 2170 Dune Dr., Avalon. Check-in/day-of registration is at the 9th Street Beach Path entrance in Avalon at 5:30 p.m. The two-mile ride goes from the 9th Street Beach to the Avalon Fishing Pier, then turns around and returns. All money raised will help support pediatric cancer patients and their families in the Atlantic and Cape May counties. All net proceeds will be donated to the recently established Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
