Family-friendly concerts return to the Cape May Green with the 2019 Summer Concert Series, brought to you by Lower Township and hosted by The Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Concerts run weekly every Wednesday night, featuring Stellar Mojo playing high energy rock on August 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring beach chairs, blankets, picnic snack, family and friends and enjoy an evening of live music and the best sunsets. The Angelus Chorus at the Cape May Convention Hall

Join The Angelus Chorus for a wonderful evening of music and singing! The chorus will be performing a free community concert on Wednesday, August 28 at 7 p.m. Director, Dr. Richard Stanislaw, and Accompanist, Ruth Fritsch, along with the 50 member chorus will present an array of sacred and secular selections. There is open seating and no charge for admission, but a free will offering may be taken.

 

Thursdays On Dune Family Fun & Concerts

Thursdays on Dune returns for 2019 with an amazing lineup of family-fun and music from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Kids will enjoy fun activities and giveaways from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a live band from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The theme for this Thursday will be Prince and Princess night. Junior Clamshell Pitching Tournament

As summer draws to a close, mark your calendars for a fun Cape May tradition—The Rich Reinhart Junior Clamshell Pitching Tournament. The longest-running contest of its kind in the region, the Junior Clamshell Pitching Tournament is set for Friday, August 30 on Windsor Beach (across from Congress Hall) in Cape May. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the tournament starts at noon.  The tournament is free and open to boys and girls in two age groups, ages 6 to 11 and ages 12 to 17. Beach Bumz Band Free Beach Concert

From the surf music of the Beach Boys to the island-inspired favorites of Jimmy Buffett, the Beach Bumz perform everyone’s favorite summer songs. The beach tribute band brings the sounds of paradise to the Cape May beach in a free concert on Friday, August 30. The show takes place on the deck of Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Avenue in Cape May, New Jersey, beginning at 6 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will take place inside Convention Hall. The Tomato Festival in Wilbraham Park celebrates the Jersey Fresh Tomato and the end of the summer season! USCG Sunset Parade

USCG Training Center, 1 Munro Avenue, Cape May

Sunset Parades are colorful, inspiring military ceremonies featuring the Recruit Precision Drill Team, marching troops and cannon fire. They take place at sunset on TraCen’s Parade Grounds and are free and open to the public. On September 1, gates open at 6 p.m., guests must be seated by 6:45 p.m. Guests are not permitted to bring bags of any kind to the seating area.
