A blow-out celebration of the Italian culture, an impressive athletic feat, and even a few shopping opportunities. 20th Annual North Wildwood Original Italian-American Festival
Friday-Sunday, June 27th to 29th
Where: Olde New Jersey Ave, North Wildwood

The festivities take place on Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood and begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Here, street vendors will display their Italian memorabilia and food vendors will offer a variety of delicious Italian and non-Italian treats. Other activities include special events like the “Great Meatball” relay race, the ever-growing signing of the “Olive Tree” and the “Little Miss Italy” contest. Don’t miss the numerous activities planned for adults and children alike. Ocean City Free Public Library Summer Book Sale

Tim Kerr Charities Islandman Triathlon
Saturday, June 28th from 7 a.m. to noon

Islandman is a unique and challenging event attracting the top age groupers in the Mid-Atlantic region along with many first timers. This “racer’s race” provides a fun, quality experience that has quickly become a “must do” event on everyone’s summer schedule. It is a very spectator-friendly race. Annual American Family Festival
Saturday, June 28th from 4 to 9 p.m.
Where: Throughout West Wildwood

Sample the mouthwatering selection from twenty vendors selling fresh farm goods, baked goods, specialty foods, prepared foods, seafood, meats, cheeses, wine, coffee and more! Kids can be registered for the parade between 8 and 2 a.m. and will receive bike decorations and trophies for the best of the best. A huge fireworks display will occur at dusk, capping off the celebration. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot between Schellenger & Oak Avenues.

Cape May-Lewes Ferry 50th Anniversary
Saturday, June 28th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Cape May Ferry Terminal – 1200 Lincoln Blvd, Cape May

Celebrate the ferry’s 50th anniversary with a full day of free, family-friendly festivities including a classic car show, face painting, appearances by Pirate Pete and live entertainment. Other special events include a dedication ceremony and screenings of WHYY’s Cape May-Lewes Ferry documentary. The festivities continue on-board the ferry with live music. Victorian Family Fair
Saturday, June 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Emlen Physick Estate -1048 Washington St, Cape May

A traditional Victorian fair with activities for the whole family on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian house museum. The day features live musical performances, crafts, collectibles, living history characters, children’s activities and refreshments. Admission is free and parking is available. Quilt Show at Historic Cold Spring Village
Saturday-Sunday, June 28th & 29th from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Historic Cold Spring Village – 720 Shore Rd, Cape May

Historic Cold Spring Village is featuring all things fiber arts at the 28th annual Cape May Quilt and Fiber Show, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29. Sponsored by the Chatlos Foundation, the event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. both days and will feature demonstrations and vendors of quilting, textiles, knitting, crocheting, lace making, basket weaving, broom making, wool dyeing, sheep shearing and more. Visitors are invited to take part in a “yarn bombing,” the newest expression of public art, which will be held at the Village Gazebo. Guests are encouraged to knit or crochet a section.

On Saturday, visitors may vote for their favorite quilts in the Welcome Center at the Viewer’s Choice Quilt Show, and on Sunday continue to enjoy the display and see the winners. A rare wedding quilt, c. 1714, handmade by Cape May Countian Sarah Spicer, will be on display in the Welcome Center for its annual appearance. The quilt was restored in 2012 through a grant from the Cape May County Culture and Heritage Commission.

Cape May Seafood Festival
Saturday, June 28th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Beach Ave, Cape May

This Festival will entail the closure of a two block section of Beach Avenue between Howard Street and Gurney Street (which will be fully tented) as well as the full use of Convention Hall. The availability to purchase raw and cooked seafood will be from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. in the tented area on Beach Avenue. There will be free admission to a wide array of educational exhibits, and professional cooking demonstrations in and around Convention Hall will occur between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Lower Township Kayak Rally/Fun Race
Saturday, June 28th from 1 to 5 p.m.
Where: Delaware Bay Beach – Ferry Rd & Beach Dr, Lower Township

The Lower Township Kayak Club invites all paddlers and spectators to our 5th annual Kayak Rally/Fun Race. Tee Shirts and Prizes! Stone Harbor Farmers Market
Sunday, June 29th from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Water Tower Plaza – 95th St & Second Ave, Stone Harbor

For the third consecutive year, the Stone Harbor Farmer’s Market returns to the Water Tower Plaza located at 95th Street and Second Avenue. The Market will be held every Sunday through Sept. 14 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. There is no fee to visit the Stone Harbor Farmer’s Market. Parking is available nearby in the Borough’s municipal parking lot, along with ample off street parking.

Middle Township Selfie Extravaganza
Beginning Tuesday, July 1st
Where: Throughout Middle Township

Middle Township residents, we want to see your selfie photo taken at one of our many public parks, playgrounds, and facilities. The Middle Township Department of Recreation is sponsoring its 1st Annual Selfie Extravaganza during the month of July.

A “selfie” photo is described as a photograph taken of oneself typically taken with a smartphone or other electronic device that is uploaded to a social media website. All photos must be taken on the Middle Township Department of Recreation grounds; acceptable photos would be in front of a playground, or an athletic field.

All photos should be forwarded to tdevitt@middletownship.com for consideration. Any photo of a child must include parental approval before the photo is posted. Please submit your selfie photo with your name and telephone number. Approved photos will be posted on the Middle Township Recreation Department Facebook page. The 1859 Cape May Lighthouse located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township, becomes a beacon of fun. Enjoy kid-friendly activities, performers, entertainment and unique craft vendors at the base of the lighthouse. There will be free admission to activities on the grounds. Summer Music Series at Centennial Park
Wednesday, July 2nd from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Centennial Park -Fern Rd and Ocean Ave, Wildwood Crest

For the sixth straight summer, the Borough of Wildwood Crest will offer its popular Summer Music Series at beachfront Centennial Park. Free live music shows will be held each Wed. and Sat. at 7:30 p.m. at the entertainment pavilion located at Centennial Park at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue. A special Fri. evening show will also be held on July 4 at 8 p.m.

Those attending any of the performances at Centennial Park should bring a blanket or a chair. All shows are free and open to the entire family. This week, Northbound Train is set to perform and will feature classic and progressive rock sounds.

Movies Under the Stars
Wednesday, July 2nd from 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Stone Harbor Elementary School – 275 93rd St, Stone Harbor

Bring your beach chairs or blankets and watch a family movie the whole family will enjoy! Movies will be shown on a large outdoor screen around dusk at the Stone Harbor Elementary School located between 2nd and 3rd avenue on 94th Street.
