Annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat
Wednesday, October 30th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Where: Wildwood Crest Pier parking lot – Heather Rd & Ocean Ave, Wildwood Crest
On Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host their Annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. The event consists of adults bringing their Halloween-decorated vehicles to the Wildwood Crest Pier parking lot at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue, where they will distribute candy from the trunks of their vehicles to children outfitted for Halloween. The event includes other Halloween related activities, a DJ, refreshments and prizes awarded to the best decorated vehicles. Trunk-or-Treat is a free event, but vehicles must be pre-registered to take part. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier Recreation Center. Middle Township Halloween Parade
Wednesday, October 30th from 7 to 8 pm
Where: Memorial Field – 300 E Atlantic Ave, Cape May Court House
Middle Township will continue its decades-long tradition of holding one of the largest Halloween parades in South Jersey on Wed. evening, Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. This year’s parade features some new additions, including new judging categories and a first-ever baby parade. The parade will step off at Memorial Field on Pacific Avenue and proceed to Route 9, turning north and ending at the Cape Bank parking lot. The Middle Township High School Marching Band will perform in the parade, and Middle Township Junior Football Cheerleaders will perform “Thriller” in front of the Bellevue Tavern. Those interested in joining the parade this year are asked to arrive at Memorial Field no later than 6:00 p.m. Additional information is available by calling the Middle Township Department of Recreation at (609) 465-8743, extension 9.

Halloween Haunted House
Thursday, October 31st from 5 to 8 pm
Where: Elks Lodge – 1st & New Jersey Aves, North Wildwood
On Oct. 31 – Halloween evening – the Greater Wildwood Elks will host a free Halloween Haunted House at the Elks Lodge, located at 1stand New Jersey Avenues in North Wildwood. Trick-or-Treaters can walk through a “Haunted House” and receive treats from 5-8 p.m. For additional information call (609) 729-5776.

7th Annual High Tides Striper Tournament
Saturday, November 2nd from 8 am
Where: Hinch Marina – 989 Ocean Dr, Cape May
Sponsored by the Carpenters Union Local 255, this tournament is “making a difference” for the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund. Captain’s Meeting takes place on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 pm. Northern Scale at Hoffman’s Marina – 602 Green Ave, Brielle, NJ 08730. Southern Scale at Hinch Marina – 989 Ocean Dr, Cape May, NJ 08204. Meeting will feature cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. Fishing tournament is on Saturday, Nov. 2. $60.00 per angler includes awards dinner. Weigh-in stations at the Northern and Southern scales listed above. Scales open at 3 pm and close at 5 pm. Awards dinner located at VFW Post 386 in Cape May.

Indoor Christmas Bazaar and People’s Choice Motorcycle Contest
Saturday, November 2nd from 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Cape Community Church Fellowship Hall -1159 Route 9, Cape May Court House
Santa and Mrs. Claus will hear Christmas wishes FREE from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Motorcycle contest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. People vote for best bike with a $1 donation, which will go to Matt’s Stocking to help provide toys for needy children in Cape May County. Best motorcycle receives a giant trophy! There will be a strolling Nativity scene, Christmas music and lots of baked goods and food. Call 609-425-3410 for more information or to sign up.

Avalon Chamber Seafood Festival
Saturday-Sunday, November 2nd & 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: 30th St and the beach, Avalon
Complete with pumpkins, hay bales and delicious seafood, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Seafood Festival on Oct. 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held at 30th Street and the beach in Avalon, and will feature crafts, gifts, live entertainment, children’s games and activities, and of course, the best seafood in the area. Sound Advice returns with the popular Sound Advice Lounge, allowing visitors to enjoy the weekend football games on large-screen televisions. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, including fall favorites such as Sam Adams Oktoberfest.
