You are invited to join us in celebrating National Lighthouse Day on Wednesday, August 7. This day will mark the 230th anniversary of the signing of the 1789 Lighthouse Act.
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. with a formal patriotic ceremony honoring our lighthouse and Coast Guard heritage. Special guest speakers will include U. S. Coast Guard representatives, US Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Mayor Patrick Rosenello, and local historians.
The New Jersey Lighthouse Society will provide games and surprises for all children. The lighthouse will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., as always, admission is free and donations are accepted.
