Be One with Nature at Cape May County Park & Zoo’s 2016 Earth Day Celebration

The Annual Cape May County Earth Day Fair is more than just a day in the park. The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders has planned a long list of eco-friendly events for the celebration to be held at the Cape May County Park & Zoo.

Set for Saturday, April 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the day will start off with a bang with a 5K Earth Day Race and 1 Mile Fun Run. Certificates will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age group in both male and female divisions. T-shirts will also be handed out to the first 150 participants. The pre-registration donation of $15, or $20 the day of the race, will benefit the Cape May County Park & Zoo Trust Fund.

In addition to the race, live music, a children’s storytime, an inflatable obstacle course and slide, an interactive drum circle, hands-on educational exhibits, free entertainment, a naturalist hayride, food and crafts are all on the agenda.

We Need Your Help!

Cape May County’s Earth Day Fair came to life over 20 years ago through the efforts of a small committee with limited resources. This year’s event will reflect the continuing mission of the Earth Day Committee, making it possible for thousands of area residents and tourists to gather in celebrating, learning and caring for our local and global environment. This premier event provides a celebration which showcases all that our unique seashore environment has to offer. The Cape May County Park & Zoo is the perfect host location for this day of fun and learning with a focus on the earth.

We need your support! Sponsor donations are necessary to defray the costs associated with this event. Donations also provide a unique opportunity to advertise your business and show your concern for the environment.
