This week’s featured bartender has 20 years bartending experience and loves her job! Meet Theresa Zeits, who has been behind the bar at Tuckahoe Inn Restaurant and Tavern for the past five years.
Theresa grew up in Upper Township and has worked as a bartender in the area for the past 20 years. She started waitressing right out of high school, but a month into her new job, the restaurant needed a bartender. Theresa took on the bartending position and hasn’t looked back since!
Theresa previously worked in Atlantic City at the Revel Casino before she found out about her job at Tuckahoe Inn from a close friend. She has officially been a bartender for 20 years, but her drink mixing days started earlier when her grandparents let her shake up a few cocktails for them at their home bar. Theresa was a natural, so bartending was an easy fit when she transitioned from waitress to bartender!
Theresa’s favorite part about working at Tuckahoe Inn is talking to the guests who come in for dinner or drinks. Theresa says it doesn’t feel like work because she’s doing what she loves and gets to work with amazing people. When she’s not working, Theresa likes to spend time with her two cats, two dogs, and five chickens. If you’re looking for a drink suggestion, she recommends the Blood Orange Cosmo, a twist on the classic cosmo, or the Tuckahoe Tomahawk, made with rum, grenadine, pineapple juice, and orange juice.
Tuckahoe Inn, located in Beesley’s Point on Great Harbor Bay, is a casual family restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. Treat yourself to great dining or head out to the Back Bay Café during the summer season to enjoy the informal setting and live music overlooking the bay. Arrive by car or by boat and let the fun begin! Tuckahoe Inn is open year-round, seven days a week. In the offseason, meet friends for drinks at the inside bar just off the dining room or cozy up by the brick fireplace. Next time you go out for dinner or drinks, stop by Tuckahoe Inn to say hello to Theresa, order a Bloody Orange Cosmo, and experience the difference at Tuckahoe for yourself!
