Bartender of the Week: The Surfing Pig

At The Surfing Pig in North Wildwood, you’ll find the best waterfront dining, real wood-smoked BBQ, local fresh seafood, sunset views and delicious cocktails. You’ll also find this week’s bartender of the week, Matt Fitzgerald!

A native of Woolwich Township in Gloucester County, Matt spends his summers in Anglesea. Thanks to his sister who worked at The Surfing Pig last year, Matt will be spending his first summer behind the bar there. But he is no stranger to the bar scene or the Wildwoods, as he used to work as a bar-back at Capt’n Jack’s Island Grill on the Wildwoods Boardwalk.

A recent graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. with a degree in business, Matt is looking forward to spending his summer at the Jersey Shore while searching for a job. When he’s not serving up drinks for patrons at The Surfing Pig, you can find him on his own surfboard at the beach.

Come visit Matt and the rest of The Surfing Pig crew during No Shower Happy Hour daily from 3 to 6 p.m. with live music. Additionally, enjoy other daily specials like $6 U-Peel Shrimp on Monday, $2.50 tacos on Taco Tuesday, Buck-a-Shuck Oysters on Wednesday, and $15 buckets of Coronaritas and $16 buckets of Modelo cans 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Every table has a spectacular view, so stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
