This week we set out to Deauville Inn in Strathmere to find our featured local mixologist. We visited the popular Beach House and came across picturesque views, delicious cocktails, mouthwatering meals and a friendly face that we chose to feature as this week’s bartender of the week.
Mike Marini is now in his third summer bartending at Deauville. Although he is originally from the Cherry Hill area, he now resides at the shore when he isn’t in school. During the offseason, he attends West Chester University and is working toward a degree in communications. While in school, Mike often visits home on weekends and holidays to serve up drinks behind Deauville’s bar.
Mike landed his bartending gig thanks to his father. Back in the 80s, his dad worked at Deauville and became close with the owner’s family. Mike started out bussing tables, and worked his way up to bartender status.
Mike’s favorite drinks at Deauville are the flavored mojitos, the signature rum bucket and the Stoli Blueberry Lemonade. Come visit Mike and ask him to mix up one of his favorites! Dine in the air conditioned dining room, take in the views on the waterfront outdoor deck, relax in the sand at the Beach House, or catch your favorite sporting event at the Sports Bar. Happy Hour is 4 to 6 p.m. daily at the Sports Bar, featuring drink specials and $6 apps.
