AVALON – There is no better way to kick off Mother’s Day Weekend in Avalon than at the Avalon Wine & Spirits Festival on Friday, May 6. Visitors will feel like they are right in the vineyard as they sample more than 200 wine and spirits from different distributors. There will be live entertainment, passed hors d’oeurves and a silent auction throughout the night. The festival is scheduled for Friday, May 6 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Avalon Community Hall, and is the perfect treat for wine lovers and mothers alike.

Luxury hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the island’s finest restaurants. There also will be an extensive silent auction featuring items and packages from local businesses. Browse over 30 items including golfing foursomes, home décor, fashion and accessories and so much more.
“Over the years, the wine festival has turned into a ‘can’t miss’ event on Mother’s Day Weekend,” says Chamber President John O’Dea. “Fred’s Avalon Liquor store does a great job recruiting high-end and popular wines and spirits, and festival-goers will definitely enjoy the food, music and auction to go along with the tasting.”
