The Annual Cape May County Earth Day Fair is more than just a day in the park. Enjoy a long list of eco-friendly events for the celebration from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will start off with a 5K Earth Day Race and 1 Mile Fun Run. In addition to the race, live music, an interactive drum circle, hands-on educational exhibits, an environmental magic show, food and crafts are all on the agenda. 2. 17th Annual Polar Bear & 4th Annual Puppy Plunge
Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m.
Beachcomber Camping Resort, 462 Seashore Rd., Cape May
Jump in – it’s the 17th Annual Polar Bear & 4th Annual Puppy Plunge! All proceeds benefit Cape May County Animal Shelter. All plungers with sponsors ($) will receive a FREE T-shirt and hot chocolate. Raise $25 and we will waive the registration fee of $10-$15. Pups get a cool treat! A $25 BC gift card will be given to the plunger who raises the most money, and a prize will be given to the pup who raises the most money! 3. Doo Dah Parade

6th and Asbury Ave., Ocean City
Say goodbye to the tax season with a comedy parade featuring 500 Basset Hounds plus comical brigades and costumed characters. Starts at noon, 6th and Asbury Ave., proceeds to 12th Street, then up to the Boardwalk. Ends at Music Pier where PieAsco is held. Folks sit in grandstands and smoosh each other with shaving cream pies, the kind Soupy Sales used on his syndicated TV shows. Event is a tribute to Soupy and all legendary comedians. 4. Sip into Spring
Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m.
Cape May Winery, 711 Townbank Rd., North Cape May
Enjoy the start of spring surrounded by the sights of this spectacular setting – a lush vineyard close to Cape May City, but a world away. Tempt your palate with Cape May Winery’s notable selections and flavors of the Washington Inn. Local musician Andy Reeves, who plays in a number of area hot spots, will share his talent both instrumentally and vocally.
