CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Park & Zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo” event will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Cape May County Park & Zoo.
Sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, this event is free and open to the public. Visitors of all ages are invited to wear a costume to this fun family event, which includes activities for the kids, games, candy, entertainment, animals, an inflatable obstacle course, a pirate ship and more.
A costume contest will start at 11 a.m., and registration begins at 10 a.m. An awards presentation will follow the Halloween costume contest. A spectacular Halloween show will start at 1 p.m. with a live animal show following.
Freeholder Marie Hayes, liaison to the Park & Zoo, invites families to come out for a fun filled day, and reminds everyone to visit the zoo after the festivities. “The Park & Zoo is always fun, but it is much more fun when the kids come in costumes and enjoy all the Halloween activities that will take place,” Hayes said.
“Bring the entire family to the Park & Zoo for a day of spooktacular fun, and make sure to visit the more than 500 animals that call the Cape May County Zoo home,” Hayes added.
The Cape May County Park & Zoo is located at 707 Rt. 9 N., Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off of the Garden State Parkway). The free zoo is open 364 days a year, weather permitting, and is closed on Christmas Day. Donations are always welcome.
