4th of July Events in Cape May County

We gathered all of the patriotic events happening around Cape May County. There are lots of fireworks, festivals, and other things happening in nearly every town in the county.

4th of July Boardwalk Craft Show 

Saturday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday & Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood 

Artisans, handmade craft items, boutique items, gifts & more! 

Historic Cold Spring Village Independence Day Festivities  

Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  

Cold Spring Village, 735 Seashore Rd, Cape May 

The Village’s restored historic buildings will be open, featuring demonstrations of early American trades and crafts. Chat with Ben Franklin and learn about his latest inventions in the Spicer-Leaming House. Throughout the day at the Dennisville Inn, John and Jan Haigis will perform colonial-era music, and there will be a Militia Muster for children ages 5 to 12. 

Lower Township Independence Day Festival & Fireworks 

Monday, July 3, festival begins at 5 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9 p.m. 

On the Bayfront in North Cape May 

Rides, food, and entertainment! 

Americana Family Fun Night: Mickey & Minnie Celebrate the 4th 

Monday, July 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

Excursion Park, 2 41st St, Sea Isle City 

Guests will enjoy an interactive LIVE performance featuring your favorite characters! Additional activities for the families on the ground as well! LIVE by the beach! 

Ocean City Pops Independence Day Concert  

Monday, July 3 and 4 at 8 p.m. 

Carey Stadium, behind Ocean City High School 

Our legendary local orchestra will perform two concerts full of patriotic classics and audience favorites in honor of our nation’s birthday. The Carey Stadium concert will give people of all ages a chance to hear what a true local resource we have here in town. Bring a beach chair or blanket to sit on the field, and there will be seating available in the bleachers.   

Ocean City Parades 

Tuesday, July 4 at 10 a.m.  

Locations for each parade listed below 

The free South Ocean City Bike Parade encourages riders to dress themselves and their bicycles in the spirit of the holiday. It will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday with registration starting at 9 a.m. in the Our Lady of Good Counsel parking lot at 40th Street and Asbury Avenue. 

Registration for the Gardens Civic Association Bike Parade starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 4 in the parking lot at the foot of the Ocean City-Longport toll bridge. The route makes its way to East Atlantic Boulevard with a finish near Beach Road. The parade begins at 10 a.m. with refreshments at the finish. 

Kite Flying Competition  

Tuesday, July 4 at 7 p.m. 

Beach by Music Pier on Ocean City  

Participation in the event is free with registration at the Music Pier. A yo-yo demonstration outside the Music Pier will follow the kite contest. 

Ocean City Fireworks 

Tuesday, July 4 at 9 p.m.

Sea Isle Fourth of July Fireworks 

Tuesday, July 4 from 9:15 to 9:30 p.m.

Prizes awarded for the best decorated bikes wagons, strollers, scooters and low speed vehicles in red, white and blue theme. 

Wildwoods Patriotic Parades + Pooch Parade

Tuesday, July 4 at 9 a.m. 

Starts 9th and Atlantic Avenues, the bike / stroller / LSV parade joins the Pooch Parade at 8th & Atlantic Avenues and proceeds north to 1st & Surf Avenues, Wildwood 

Prizes awarded for the best decorated bikes, strollers, scooters, golf carts etc. in red, white and blue theme. 

Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series – Special 4th of July Show 

Tuesday, July 4 at 7 p.m., Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. 

Centennial Park, Fern Road and Ocean Avenue, Wildwood Crest
