The 10th annual Singer-Songwriter of Cape May will be held March 24 and 25, 2017 at the historic Congress Hall and 15 showcase venues in Cape May.
Over 60 music industry professionals and 175 acts and artists will participate in the weekend conference and showcase. The conference features two afternoons of music business panels, clinics, workshops, musician mentoring and keynotes. At night, acts and artists showcase their original new music with performances at Cape May live music venues. All of the showcase performances are free, open to the public and start after 7 p.m.
The keynoters and featured performers this year are Jim Boggia on Friday, March 24 and Jonatha Brooke on Saturday, March 25. The singer-songwriters will each address the conference at 5:15 p.m. and perform in concert for the public after 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Congress Hall. The concert tickets for the Grand Ballroom shows are on sale now in advance, and all ages and permitted to attend.
The 2017 SS Cape May showcase venues are: 501 Beach at The Marquis de Lafayette, Aleathea’s Restaurant at The Inn of Cape May, Cabanas Beach Bar, Carney’s, Carney’s Other Room, The Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May, Delaney’s Irish Pub, Elaine’s Dinner Theater, Fins Bar & Grill, Iron Pier Craft House, The Mad Batter, Phinney’s Pub at Elaine’s, The Ugly Mug, and the Brown Room and Boiler Room at Congress Hall.
