Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour

Nobody knows Cape May’s ghosts better than psychic medium Craig McManus. Your MAC guide relates his findings on this 30-minute trolley tour through darkened streets and flickering gas lamps. Discover just what the ghosts said to McManus and where they are living… well, sort of. Begins at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth where tickets are sold. Autism Awareness Walk

Help us support autism by making a pledge to walk in our walk-a-thon. Or, you can support a participant by placing your pledge with them. The proceeds from this event support Ocean Academy and Woodbine Elementary School. The event will start at the SOAR Church and continue on the walk/bike path in Woodbine. The event will begin at 11 a.m. Late registration is at 10 a.m.; registration fee is $10. Refreshments and informative resources will be available post run. Rain date is April 16. Super Hero Comics Weekend
Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10

During this weekend devoted to the comics, visitors will be able to meet the creators of super heroes and comic book characters at the Music Pier. Stop by Sunday at 2 p.m. to participate in or see a Cosplay (costume contest). Event begins on Saturday, April 9 at 9 a.m. with a one mile Super Hero Run followed by a Super Hero Obstacle Dash at noon. Contestants are encouraged to compete in Super Hero costumes. Spring In Tuckahoe Craftsmen & Home Event

The Spring in Tuckahoe Craftsmen & Home Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. This two-day event will feature an Art & Craft Show, a Spring Home Event and networking companies all under one roof. Over 80 vendors are expected to participate. Visitors will find wood furniture, doll clothes, pet treats, ceramics, fiber arts, photography, outdoor furnishings, watercolors, spring wreaths, hand crafted jewelry and country crafts. 1st Dennis Township Community Day

The Dennis Township School PTA along with Dennis Township Education Association Pride and the Municipal Alliance Committees is pleased to present its 1st Dennis Township Community Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This very special day will be focusing on bringing the community together. All proceeds raised will be used to provide anti-bullying programs for Dennis Township School District. The day will kick off with a 3K Color Run at 12 noon that is open to the entire community followed by an inflatable obstacle course provided by the DTEA Pride committee. Both events will promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together. After the race, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy music, face painting, food, a magician-balloon artist and much more. Littlest Explorers at the Zoo – Week 2

Toddlers ages 2 and 3 are invited to enjoy crafts, story time and special visits from real live animals. This class is designed for parent or adult caregiver (not just mom) and child to learn about animals and nature at your amazing Zoo. Each class will focus on a specific theme and the amazing, awe-inspiring animal it represents. This week’s topic is “Colors, Colors, Colors!” Play-based activities include animal visits, biofact viewing, interactive games, nature crafts, songs and stories. Program encourages adult participation in the learning process and is a great opportunity for the younger child to get a head start on learning about nature, conservation and our wonderful facility right here in their backyard. Sea Glass Pendant Workshop

Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Cape May County Library will be holding a beginning wire technique workshop at the Woodbine Branch from 10 a.m. to noon on creating a sea glass pendant. Learn to create a stunning sea glass pendant using silver plated wire. This technique is called a “border wrap” and can be used on sea glass, shells, cabochons and large beads as well as many other things. It is a great “intermediate” technique for those having basic wire working knowledge. A $12 non-refundable materials fee is due at registration.
