Cape May – Lewes Ferry Commences Seasonal Beer Dinner Series

Beer Dinners Pair Fine Food, Ferry Fun and Flights of Local Craft Brews; Seating Limited

NORTH CAPE MAY – Looking to do something out of the ordinary for the holidays? Need a unique place for a company celebration? Want relief from winter cabin fever? Or maybe just unwind during a sometimes stressful holiday season? The Ferry has your ticket to a landside culinary extravaganza! Sit back, relax and enjoy a full-course dinner complete with local craft brew selections on select Fridays through March 2016.

The Ferry has partnered with craft breweries in Delaware and New Jersey to host a series of unique dinner and beer pairings inside both the Cape May and Lewes Ferry Terminals. The cost for the all-inclusive, four-course dinner is $59 per person.

“We held a number of sold-out Beer Flight Dinners in both Cape May and Lewes last year and received rave reviews,” said Joe Peltz, Superintendent of Food and Retail for the Ferry. “Our customers really enjoyed these events and the discussions of the craft beer selections. With the number of quality craft brewing companies in the region combined with our talented Chefs, Ingrid Dellatorre and John Schlaner, it was natural to create a whole series. Each dinner is different, so mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss these culinary delights!”

The schedule for the Ferry’s Beer Flight Dinners in Cape May are as follows:

• January 8 (Crooked Hammock)
• February 5 (Glasstown)
• March 4 (Tuckahoe Brewing)
• April 1 (Pinelands Brewing

The Ferry Beer Flight Dinners are beer’s equivalent to wine tastings. The focus of the Beer Flight Dinners is to showcase each Terminal as a special event venue and help promote the growing regional craft brewing industry in both states. In addition, the gourmet four-course dinners feature the talents of the Ferry’s award-winning resident Chefs.

Festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, including Chef’s Selection of Hors d’oeuvres with “cocktail” tastings. The reception is followed by the first course, salad course, entrée and dessert selection.

These dinners also feature a representative from the select craft breweries who will discuss the various beer styles served at the dinner. For the menu and beer selections for each Beer Flight Dinner, please visit us online at www.cmlf.com.
