The John R. Elliott HERO Walk is dedicated to those whose lives have been impacted by drunken driving. Come see what 4-H has to offer for your child in Cape May County during the Cape May County 4-H Open House on Sunday, October 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the 4-H fairgrounds. The open house kicks off National 4-H Week from October 4-10. During the event, which is open to all, 4-H members and leaders from various 4-H clubs in the county will share information about their clubs and offer fun, hands-on children’s activities. The 4-H Open House will also feature a Halloween Fun Horse Show, which is open to all participants in 12th grade and under with their own horse. Costumed youth and horses will compete for prizes in fun classes such as a costume contest, the “Headless Horseman’s Hideout,” the “Team Witches’ Brew Relay Race” and the “Hairy Scary.” The 4-H Open House starts at 1 p.m. and runs until 4 p.m. at the Coover Livestock Pavilion located at the rear of the 4-H fairgrounds on 355 Court House South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House.
