Giddy Up to CCT

The Country Club Tavern & Package Goods of Cape May Court House perfectly plays the role of neighborhood watering hole. Established in 1988, the tavern has undergone many changes throughout the past three decades, yet it has always maintained its casual, family-friendly saloon-style atmosphere. In its most recent renovation, CCT’s owners, the Buckingham and Casper families, decided to go for a rustic ambiance and purchased all décor from yard sales and thrift stores. Each hat, saddle, boot, and belt buckle adorning the restaurant’s interior has its own history and story. Local patrons also chipped in personal donations to the re-design effort. Each can point out his or her leather cowboy boots hanging above the bar or belt buckle on the wall next to one of the large wooden booths.

The Country Club Tavern has comfort food covered. Warm up with a bowl of CCT’s French onion soup and a glass of the coldest beer in the county. Or give CCT’s famous wings, fried ravioli, clam strips, or Buffalo shrimp a try. Anxious while waiting for your favorite comfort food delicacies? CCT has its very own tavern puzzles for puzzle-loving patrons to get to work on while dining. Up for a real “Man vs. Food” test? Try CCT’s Triple Decker Devil Burger Challenge. Finish all eight pounds in just 60 minutes and your burger is free. Plus, winners get a picture on CCT’s Wall of Fame and a free tee shirt.

The Country Club Tavern features great-value specialty nights five days a week. Test your trivia skills at Monday’s Italian and Quizzo night. Hardy meatball sandwiches for only $3 and $1 Coors Light Drafts give CCT patrons the energy to compete. Prizes are awarded to the first place and first runner up teams. Bring your game face. Fiesta Tuesdays at the Tavern features 3 tacos for only $3 plus Corona, Corona Light, and Modello Negra reduced price specials. Live entertainment kicks off at 7:30. On Yuengs & Wings Wednesdays, the famous wings are only $3.99 while Yuengling Draft is $1.50 and bottles are $2. On Thursday’s Cheesesteak Night, wash down a $4 Philly favorite with $1.50 Coors Light Draft. Stop in and enjoy a Philly classic with a cold one. Name That Tune starts at 8pm and winners are awarded a $50 gift certificate. On Saturday, saddle up for a great night of tunes, dancing, and brews with CCT’s live entertainment beginning at 7:30 p.m. Take the weekday edge off at CCT’s Happy Hour with $1 Coors Lights and $1 off drinks from 4:30 to 6:30 Monday through Friday or all day Sunday.

For those planning a summer party, Country Club Tavern’s Liquor & Package Goods Store is the perfect one-stop spot for alcohol needs. Home to both an expansive wine section and numerous refrigerators of cases of local and imported beers, Country Club Tavern offers beverage options for a range of customers, from wine-lovers to brew-lovers. If they don’t have it, just ask them and they’ll get it. The store also participates in New Jersey state lottery sales. Get in the Country Western spirit, learn to line dance, grab a bottle of spirits, and buy a ticket to strike it big all under one roof at The Country Club Tavern. Enjoy a quiet cocktail solo, or party with a group of your closest friends at CCT “where everybody knows your name”. Giddy up.
