The Cape May Tennis Center is hosting a tournament to raise funds for the American Cancer Society on Sunday, September 1. According to the American Cancer Society, the lifetime probability of being diagnosed with cancer is 39.7% for men and 37.6% for women, which is slightly over 1 in 3. The American Cancer Society has made it its mission to free the world of cancer, but until they do, they use the funding they receive from fundraisers like the Cape May Tennis Center’s to conduct research, support patients, share expert information, and spread the word about prevention.
The round-robin fundraising tournament will take place at the Cape May Tennis Center from 12 to 3 p.m. The cost to play is $50 per player, which will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Lunch and a t-shirt will be provided. Come out on September 1 to play tennis, meet new friends, have fun, and help the American Cancer Society achieve its goal of freeing the world of cancer!
