Have your cake-inspired martini and eat it, too with this week’s drink of the week, the Strawberry Shortcake Martini from Cape May Distillery!
Craftologist Colin O’Brien made the Strawberry Shortcake Martini for us by first pouring Cape May Distillery’s own Strawberry Banana Rum, sweet Italian cream and a splash of strawberry daiquiri mix into a shaker with ice. He then gave it a good shake, and poured the creamy, pale pink mixture into a martini glass rimmed with chocolate syrup. A juicy strawberry garnish was the finishing touch. The result was like a slice of cake (and heaven) in a glass, and a perfectly sweet way to cool down on a warm summer day. For those extra hot days, a frozen version of the Strawberry Shortcake Martini is also available.
