The 1859 Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, becomes a beacon for family fun this summer during Family Fun Days. Kids will enjoy hands-on activities like pirate hat-making, along with performers and kid-friendly entertainment, and adults will enjoy browsing among the crafts vendors, all at the base of the lighthouse. Family Fun Days are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 22. Admission is free to activities on the grounds and there is a separate admission to climb the lighthouse: $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages 3-12). 109th Annual Ocean City Baby Parade

The annual tradition offers a chance for parents to show off Ocean City’s newest generation. The parade features children cruising the Ocean City Boardwalk in themed strollers, wagons and floats. It starts at Sixth Street with children finishing at 12th Street and all other entries continuing to 14th Street. There will also be other entertainment. Talk with the owners and learn about the process of restoring a classic automobile as well as the fascinating stories behind their development and use. On Saturday, members of the Jersey Cape Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will show their antique vehicles, while hotrods and other classics will be presented by Gary McGhee on Sunday.
