A boutique hotel, a gourmet restaurant, a Victorian pub and an amazing dinner theater all in one, Elaine’s now adds to its list of things to do with its outside porch and brand new patio.
The Porch is one of Cape May’s newest hot spots, featuring open-air dining for breakfast and dinner, daily Happy Hour and live entertainment right in the middle of Historic Cape May. The relaxing porch atmosphere is now extended onto Elaine’s new outside patio, inviting even more guests into this fun yet classy atmosphere.
Whether you’re staying at Elaine’s or visiting from another area in Cape May County, all are welcome to enjoy a homemade breakfast at Elaine’s. Enjoy delectable pastries and juicy fruit on the patio, and pair it with a cup of coffee, cappuccino or a breakfast cocktail from the outside Bloody Mary bar. Or, opt for a full breakfast on the porch, featuring fluffy buttermilk pancakes, freshly scrambled eggs and more. On weekdays, breakfast is served from 8 to 11 a.m., on Saturdays, it’s served until 12 p.m. and on Sundays, it’s served until 1 p.m.
In the evenings, Elaine’s is the place to be with a dinner menu full of unusual yet delicious appetizers and entrees, such as the popular pork belly sliders. From a gourmet burger to roast duck, Elaine’s does it all. Sample appetizers, cheese platters and charcuterie trays on the patio, or go big and get a full dinner on the porch. Dinner is served from 4 to 10 p.m. Indulge while listening to the soft tunes of live music from local entertainers, featured every evening from 5 to 9 p.m. See The Entertainment Grid for a schedule!
After dinner, stick around as the sun goes down and the vintage Edison lightbulbs twinkle in the night sky. Order dessert, coffee or cappuccino, available on both the patio and porch. Sweet treats aren’t limited to those who’ve dined at Elaine’s. If you’re passing by but have already eaten dinner, stop in and satisfy your sweet tooth until 11 p.m. If your night’s just getting started, end your meal and begin your night with a chocolate martini or limoncello. Or, visit the bar and check out all of the unique drinks Elaine’s has to offer. Choose from frozen cocktails, 18 beers on tap, premium liqueur and an elaborate wine list. Try the smoked rum or the Dubhe beer with hemp seeds, or cool off with a frozen Jack and Coke from the only machine of its kind in South Jersey. Hang out as late as you please!
If you’re more of an early bird, Elaine’s Happy Hour on the porch is from 4 to 6 p.m. and includes $2 off mixed drinks, half off apps and $5 off house wines.
This year, Elaine’s has a revamped menu thanks to a new chef, Chef Joe. Chef Joe has brought many new flavors and creativity to the menu, and everything he makes is fresh and homemade – even his sauces! He’s truly a chef for all, creating tastes any palate will love.
Come visit Elaine’s and discover the best kept secret in Cape May. Experience an atmosphere that’s different than the typical beach bar you often find here at the Jersey Shore. Relax and unwind in the shade, and watch the world go by in Cape May as the summer breeze brushes your skin. Whether you’re a guest at Elaine’s or are simply strolling by, all are welcome to step into this classy vibe, cool off from the summer sun, and enjoy cold cocktails with mouthwatering meals. Don’t let the elegant feel fool you – Elaine’s is upscale, but not up-price!
