THE WILDWOODS – The 8th Annual Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run, a ghoulishly fun and exciting family event, will take place Oct. 22, 2016.
This festive Boardwalk event offers a 5K run and a 1 mile family walk, starting at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center, located at 4501 Boardwalk in Wildwood. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes to vie for the prizes in the best dressed categories of Family, Youth, Infant and Best All Around.
The start line will begin at the Wildwoods Convention Center for both runners and walkers. The 5K runners will head south on the boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, u-turn north to 21st Street, then u-turn south back to the Convention Center. Medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K Pumpkin Run and the Kids 1 Mile Run.
Registration is $10 for adults and $10 for those 18 and under, with all participants receiving a Pumpkin Run T-shirt. The Pumpkin Run supports the youth of our island, donating proceeds to Margaret Mace, Glenwood Avenue, Cape Trinity and Crest Memorial Schools.
