Wildwoods Beach Patrols to Host First ‘Cure at the Shore’ Breast Cancer Awareness Event

The Wildwoods Beach Patrols and the Susan G. Komen® Fund of Central and South Jersey are hosting the first-ever ‘Cure at the Shore.’ The event will take place on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 on the beaches of the Wildwoods and the entire Jersey Shore.

A kick off race will be held to jump off the event on Thursday, August 6 at 6 p.m. The race will feature competitions between the North Wildwood, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and Sea Isle Beach Patrols at the water’s edge at Lincoln Avenue, Wildwood. Beach taxi service will be available to transport spectators from the Boardwalk area to the waterfront race location.

The lifeguards of the Wildwoods will wear the pink ‘Cure at the Shore’ T-shirt and the same T-shirt will be available to the public for a $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen® Fund of Central and South Jersey. The goal is to “PINK OUT” the Jersey Shore. 100% of the profits will go to Susan G. Komen Fund’s fight against breast cancer. ‘Cure at the Shore’ T-shirts are available throughout the Wildwoods and at the North Wildwood Shirt Shop located at 18th and New Jersey Avenues.
