Lighthouses
Cape May County is home to two light houses, each with their own unique style. The Hereford Lighthouse located at 111 North Central Avenue in North Wildwood and is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While there, you can participate in a guided tour and learn about being a light house keeper in the 19th century and early 20th century or you can go on a self-guided tour. The second lighthouse is located at 215 Light House Avenue in Cape May Point. You can climb all 199 steps to the very top and get a breath taking view of Cape May County. After, browse the gift shop or go for a hike on one of the numerous nature trails.

Movies
What better way to spend a gray day than at the movies? There are many blockbusters that are released in the summer and that rain day may be your perfect opportunity to view the one you have been wanting to see. Frank’s Theater Rio Stadium 12 in Rio Grande is conveniently located just a few miles from many shore points. Check their online listings or the Herald for show times and movies. Finally Ocean City is host to the Moorlyn Family Theater, located on the boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace.

Bowling is the perfect activity for the entire family and can be an activity for as much as time as you want. Island Bowling, located in Wildwood has great nightly specials for cheap fun.
