Video Drink of the Week: Watermelon Sparkler

Succulent and sweet, the watermelon is a delicious summer staple that you can enjoy in a whole new way with this week’s drink of the week, Watermelon Sparkler from the Water Star Grille at the Reeds at Shelter Haven. New to this year’s cocktail menu at the Water Star Grille, Watermelon Sparkler has quickly become a best seller among patrons.

This crisp and cool cocktail is made with Prairie Cucumber Vodka, watermelon purée, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and club soda. Appropriately, it’s garnished with a cucumber slice and a piece of watermelon, ready for you to indulge in its refreshing flavors. Although a pale pink color dominates the mixture, the cucumber flavor is evident, and the taste of watermelon shines through to create a light, natural sweetness that anyone would enjoy on a hot summer day.

Kick back at the Water Star Grille with a Watermelon Sparkler in hand. With spectacular bay views and a relaxing yet lively vibe, you’ll be sure to escape into bliss. Pair your Watermelon Sparkler with the Watermelon Feta Salad, made with iceberg lettuce, compressed watermelon, feta, house-dried tomatoes and ginger dressing. And if you just can’t get enough watermelon, head back to Water Star Grille on Thursday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the fifth annual Reeds & Seeds Watermelon Festival, featuring a watermelon eating contest, the Reeds & Seeds King & Queen contest, family-friendly entertainment, games with fun prizes, watermelon snacks and drinks, watermelon crafts and carvings, cookie decorating, face painting and live music!
