Video Drink of the Week: Southern-style Spiked Tea

In this week’s quest for drink of the week, we decided to hit a local tavern with a distinct country flare. The always-cozy Country Club Tavern – better known as the CCT – presented us with Southern-style Spiked Tea, its own down-home twist on the classic Long Island Iced Tea.

This bold drink is made with triple sec, white vodka, gin, white rum, iced tea and lemonade. After some shakes, pours and a lemon slice garnish, CCT mixologist Jean presented us with an excellent cocktail for the dog days of summer. While every sip was full of smooth vodka, gin and rum, those strong flavors were perfectly balanced with the subtle sweetness of iced tea and lemonade.

“Meet me at the CCT!” and come try Southern-style Spiked Tea for yourself! Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and all day Sunday, featuring $1 Coors Light drafts and $1 off all other drinks. Throughout the week, you’ll find plenty of other food and drink specials during themed nights such as Italian Night on Monday, Fiesta Night on Tuesday, Yuengs n’ Wings on Wednesday and Name That Tune Thursday. For the beer lovers, Country Club Tavern has 24 beers on tap including local favorites like 7 Mile Brewery, Slack Tide Brewing Company and Cape May Brewing Company. Stop by on Tuesday or Saturday to catch live entertainment, and be sure to check out the new outside bar!
