Vanessa Williams and the Temptations in Ocean City

Backed by the renowned Ocean City Pops orchestra, the multi-talented Vanessa Williams will perform on the Ocean City Music Pier at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25.

Williams is one of the most respected and multi-faceted performers in the entertainment industry today. She has sold millions of records worldwide and scored No. 1 and Top 10 hits on charts including Pop, Dance, R&B, Adult Contemporary, Holiday, Latin, Gospel and Jazz. Her critically acclaimed work in film, television, recording and the Broadway stage have earned her four Emmy nominations, 11 Grammy nominations, a Tony nomination, 3 SAG award nominations, 7 NAACP Image Awards and 3 Satellite Awards. She received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.

At Sunday’s show, she’ll perform hits such as “Colors of the Wind” from the Disney film “Pocahontas,” “Dreamin’” and “Save the Best for Last.” But she’ll also pay tribute to her Broadway career with a Sondheim medley and sing classics such as “Stormy Weather.”

The Music Pier will come to life again on Monday, June 26 as Motown legends The Temptations perform for the first time in Ocean City. For more than 50 years, The Temps have celebrated a rich history of smash singles. “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” are among the band’s astonishing 32 Top 20 singles.
