Are you looking for the perfect something to wear? At the right price of course! Nothing beats a day, or better yet a weekend, of browsing local shops or getting a great bargain.

The largest winter shopping event at the Jersey Cape will take place Mar. 12 through 14 in Avalon during Shop-a-Holics weekend.  Hosted by Avalon’s business community, Shop-a-Holics Weekend is filled with designers, deals, and drinks — with the very best boutiques in the city and neighboring Stone Harbor-showcasing the largest variety of merchandise in one location. Find deep discounts on clothing, housewares, shoes, accessories and more. For more information, visit www.visitavalonnj.com.

“It’s Time to Put Yourself First” is the perfect theme for this year’s “Girls Weekend in Ocean City.” The weekend festivities are scheduled for April 3-5, beginning with a fashion show on Friday evening. Ocean City’s Asbury Avenue shopping district, between 6th and 14th Streets, is the place to be on Saturday, Apr. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. “The Avenue,” which is lined with unique shops and restaurants, will be offering shopping and dining specials as part of the event.  For more information, visit oceancityvacation.com.

On the last weekend in April, Apr. 24-26, get the girls together and head to Sea Isle City. The “Spring Girls Weekend,” hosted by the city’s Chamber of Commerce, promises three full days and countless ways to pamper yourself. Leave your car at home and hop on the Jitney because service will be available all weekend long to drive patrons throughout the city.  With huge discounts in nearly 40 retail locations citywide, you will find participating businesses easily identified by “Girls Weekend” flags hanging in front of stores and restaurants. This special weekend, which only happens twice a year, will also feature wine tastings, live entertainment, dancing, and more.  Plus, don’t miss out on the “Fall Girls Weekend” set for November. For more information, visit www.seaislechamber.com.

If you prefer shopping at your leisure, then the Washington Street Mall is a year-round destination for shopping and eating! The mall was constructed as a three-block pedestrian concourse in 1972 and received a facelift a few years ago. Small, independent shops line both sides of the mall — with additional shops on Carpenter Lane behind the Mall, as well as across Ocean Street in Washington Commons.  For a complete lineup of all the shops and restaurants on the mall, check out www.heartofcapemay.com.
