Experience the incredible opportunity to meet two renowned artists at Ocean Galleries on Saturday, September, 4 & Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Alexandre Renoir

An unprecedented collection of exquisite works by Alexander Renoir, great-grandson of Pierre Auguste Renoir.

Alexandre Renoir, great-grandson of French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919), grandson of Claude Renoir (1901-1969), and son of Paul Renoir (1925-2005).  This is a rare opportunity to meet this extraordinary artist and to view his magnificent artwork.  His works currently reside in quite important private collections throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

Impressionist palette knife painter. Alexandre Renoir (b 1974) was born in Cagnes Sur Mer in the south of France. When he was 4, the family moved to Canada, but even after leaving France, as the great-grand son of the great French Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alexandre grew-up surrounded in The Art and Artists. His famous family includes film director Jean Renoir, actor Pierre Renoir, director of photography Claude Renoir Jr., and Claude’s daughter actress Sophie Renoir, to name a few. Alexandre’s home town was also the retreat and final home of his famed great-grandfather, impressionist painter Pierre Auguste Renoir. Later this beautiful home became the Renoir Museum, a popular destination with both locals and visitors alike.

Autumn de Forest

Autumn de Forest is a 19-year-old professional artist who has been painting since age five. Over her decade long career, Autumn’s extraordinary path has been distinguished by a myriad of achievements, including being the youngest artist in history to have a solo exhibition at a major American museum, The Butler Institute of American Art, and being honored at the Vatican for her profound influence on Arts and Culture. Autumn de Forest is the youngest artist ever to be appointed to the President’s Committee for The Arts and Humanities, and was personally invited by First Lady Michelle Obama. Autumn’s creative prowess and journey is no fluke; but rather the continuation of a legacy that extends over 150 years in a family that includes recognized twentieth century American painters: Roy de Forest (1930–2007); Lockwood de Forest (1850–1932), California plein-air painter; and George de Forest Brush (1855–1941). Her works are collected around the world, and she has been confirmed as a “profound artistic prodigy” by a leading U.S. researcher on child prodigies, Dr. Joanne Ruthsatz, Psychology Professor at The Ohio State University. Equal to her creative endeavors as a fine artist is Autumn’s commitment to humanitarian causes and giving back.

Autumn de Forest is the youngest artist ever chosen to represent The President’s Committee on The Arts and Humanities in Washington D.C, Turnaround Arts, alongside celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Edward Norton, Yo-Yo Ma, Usher, Cameron Diaz, Whoopi Goldberg, and Elton John, to name a few. In 2015, the young artist was awarded the International Giuseppe Sciacca Award for Painting and Art, an acknowledgment of a select few young people chosen from around the globe, believed to be changing the world for the better. While in Rome, she was invited to the Vatican where Autumn then presented a piece of her artwork to Pope Francis. The piece “Resurrection” now resides in the Vatican. With Turnaround Arts, de Forest travels the globe visiting schools to work with the students, inspiring them to develop their own artistic self-expression by guiding them in creating their own self-portraits. In turn, fostering appreciation for the creative minds of the future.

Artistic Prodigy, Philanthropist and named one of Vogue Magazine’s 21 under 21, Autumn de Forest created her first street art piece at the prestigious Wynwood Walls in Miami. From having her artwork housed at the Vatican; distinguished as the youngest artist ever to have her work featured in a solo exhibition in a major US museum ( The Butler Institute of American Art premiered de Forest’s exhibition, “Autumn de Forest: The Tradition Continues” in 2016), and creating street art in Miami’s famed Wynwood Walls: this young, talented and successful Artist has both cultural credibility, and “street cred” :  truly unparalleled in the art world.

“I have always wanted to change the world for the better with my art,” explains Autumn, “and if my paintings can help other young people express themselves, by providing money for musical instruments, arts education, or to help supply arts materials, that is just incredible. That is just an incredible honor…” says de Forest. “And if my artwork can help those who have been in a tragedy,” she continues, “or a natural disaster, by helping young people to express their hope, or even their fears with creativity, well, that is just an incredible feeling.”

Autumn was chosen to appear as the artistic face of the groundbreaking Shawn Mendes/Khalid video on school student violence. “I was honored that Shawn Mendes included me in this powerful video created with the support of Apple Music. We as Americans have created these problems, so therefore we can create a solution, and I believe it is creativity we must focus on to do so”.

Autumn is a serious philanthropist, and also has been named one of the ten coolest teens to follow on Instagram by the New York Observer.

Autumn had the honor of being named one of Teen Vogue’s 21 Under 21 Teen Vogue: 2017 21 Under 21, and attended the Teen Vogue Summit in Los Angeles recognizing these carefully-chosen and extraordinary young women.
