Tim McGraw Heads to Wildwood for ‘Celebrate America Weekend’

The cat’s out of the bag! Cat Country 107.3 announced today that the big country star heading to Wildwood on July 4 is… Tim McGraw! Prepare for an epic July 4 weekend!

At the press conference on Lincoln Avenue Beach in Wildwood this morning, representatives from UpcomingEvents.com and Boardwalk Entertainment Co., and officials from the City of Wildwood gathered to reveal the details of July 4 weekend in Wildwood, also known as “Celebrate America Weekend.” Amanda Thomas of Boardwalk Entertainment Co. opened up the conference saying, “It’s going to make people remember Wildwood even when there’s two feet of snow on the ground.”

From Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4, Wildwood will deliver a world-class event full of everything from festivals to a mega concert. Besides being a weekend full of fun, the event will also provide a boost to the economy and celebrate America’s Independence.

The schedule of events for the weekend is as follows:

Friday, July 1
Beach Bacon Fest at 3 p.m.
Including a beer garden, a bourbon tasting, local live music and more. This event leads up to the Friday night fireworks. Tickets are $45 or $25 for children under 12.

Saturday, July 2
CANCELED – The Philly POPS
The Philly POPS return to Wildwood with their Salute Series performance. Tickets are $25.

Sunday, July 3
Beach Battle of the Bands at 7 p.m.
Area bars will each feature four bands battling it out, and 10 finalist bands will be chosen to compete on the beach during the Beach Battle of the Bands. The winner will perform before the big concert on July 4! Tickets are $25.

Monday, July 4
Celebrate America Beach Concert at 2 p.m.
The day starts at 2 p.m. with opening acts Hunter Hayes and Maggie Rose. Headliner Tim McGraw will perform at 8 p.m. An epic firework display honoring our troops will take place at 10 p.m., and there will be an after-party with food and DJs. Tickets are $45 for general admission, $100 for Silver VIP and $175 for Gold VIP. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 20 at noon. Tickets for the Cat Country Club Presale are $25 for general admission, $75 for Silver VIP and $150 for Gold VIP. The presale will take place Wednesday, May 18 at noon.

In addition to the fun festivities of the weekend, an important aspect of the event is charity. According to the show’s producers, a portion of the sales will be donated back to Operation First Response, the Wildwood American Legion, the Wildwood Vietnam Veterans Association and the Michael Strange Foundation. Additionally, throughout the weekend, there will be seminars regarding veteran issues such as homelessness and suicide. Veterans will be granted half priced admission for the Friday and Saturday events, and will have opportunities to visit local attractions at a discount.
