Annual Shop-A-Holics Event
Friday-Sunday March 7th to 9th starting at 5 pm
Where: The Princeton & The Whitebrier, Avalon
Avalon’s annual Shop-A-Holics event, scheduled for March 7-9 at The Princeton and The Whitebrier, will give shoppers a chance to beat those winter blues with designers, drinks and deals.
Shop-A-Holics will offer a number of items at drastic discounts. Tommy Bahama, Kate Spade, Jonathan Adler and Tory Burch are just a few of the many designer names that will be featured. Browse through the wide variety of designer clothing, shoes, accessories and home décor while enjoying your cocktail of choice. Known as the largest winter shopping event in Cape May County, Shop-A-Holics is hosted by the 7MBCA (7 Mile Business Community Association).
The money raised from this year’s event will benefit Family Promise of Cape May County. Shoppers are encouraged to pay a $5 cover charge on Friday evening, and bring a cleaning product or a monetary donation to the event on Saturday and Sunday.

Mid-Atlantic National Cheerleading & Dance Championships
Saturday, March 8th from 9 am to 4 pm
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center – 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Annual Mid-Atlantic National Cheerleading and Dance Championship will feature recreation, high school and all-star divisions. Performances will be choreographed to music and sound effects, and winning teams will be awarded prizes. Admission is $15 and free for children 3 and under.
Hypnotist Dinner Show
When: Saturday, March 8th from 7 to 10 pm
Where: The Bayview – 8100 Bayview Drive, Wildwood Crest

Atlantic City Jazz Band
Sunday, March 9th from 2 to 4 pm
Where: VFW Post 386 – 419 Congress St, Cape May
Cape May Traditional Jazz Society presents the Atlantic City Jazz Band featuring Franny Smith on banjo, Bob Rawlins on clarinet, Bob Ferguson on trumpet, John McClernan on tuba, Paul Midiri on trombone, Chuck Harms on drums, and Nancy Rawlins on keyboard. They will be playing great Traditional Dixieland Jazz, guaranteeing a fun time. There will be free parking, cash bar, and optional dinner at 4:30 pm.
Sunday Supper and Old Timey Hymn Sing
Sunday, March 9th from 6 to 7:30 pm
Where: Congress Hall Ballroom – 200 Congress Pl, Cape May
Congress Hall, known by many locals as Cape May’s Living Room, will host a Sunday Supper and Old Timey Hymn Sing March 9 at 6 p.m. in the Ballroom. A collection plate will be passed to raise funds for the Cape May Food Bank.
This community gathering will celebrate the rich American tradition of sharing faith through singing hymns together – hymns that directly tie us to our forefathers and to the very beginnings of America. Sunday Supper includes comfort food staples such as fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and apple pie. Guests are invited to sing along with musicians Myra Vassian and the Congress Hall Festival Choir, Tom Naglee Jr. on fiddle, Kate Delany, Don Shaw, Ann Oswald, and more. Singing and entertainment will follow immediately after supper. The cost of Supper is $14.95 for adults, $7.95 for children 12 and younger and free for children 3 and younger.
