King and Queen of Plop

Where: 9th Street Beach, Ocean City
Ocean City has an unusual way of welcoming the fall season. Four years ago, we initiated the Mr. Fall Gal and Mr. Fall Guy contest also known as the King and Queen of Plop. The event will be held at 11 a.m. on the 9th Street Beach opposite the Music Pier. Contestants are asked to greet the fall season, always a lovely time of year, by falling dramatically (and in slow motion) to the sand. Those performing the most dramatic renditions will be crowned the King and Queen of Plop. Registrations begins 10:30 a.m. at the 9th St. Beach. Entry is free and prizes will be awarded. Summer Clam Bake

The best backyard summer parties are when the backyard is on the beach. Visit Congress Hall’s Grand Lawn this summer for a good old-fashioned Clambake. Share in this family style feast on picnic tables full of steamer clams, shrimp, mussels, and middle neck clams steamed over Allagash Ale and lemon. Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series – The Chatterband

The Borough of Wildwood Crest has planned its largest Summer Music Series schedule to date.
A total of 29 evenings of live musical entertainment for the entire family are on tap in the eighth annual Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series, which is set to begin next week. Live music will be held at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday and Saturday from June 24 through Sept. 5 at the entertainment pavilion at Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

Sea Isle City’s Free Concerts Under the Stars: Don’t Call Me Francis
