The Wildwoods Host Third Annual Jeep Beach Invasion

THE WILDWOODS – The Wildwoods will host the third annual Jeep Invasion over Father’s Day Weekend, Friday June 16 through Sunday, June 18.

Jeeps of all makes and models will be showcased throughout the weekend on the Wildwoods’ beach between Lincoln and Spencer Avenues, and fun activities for the entire family are scheduled as well.

The Jeep Invasion festivities kick-off at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 16 at Fox Park (on Ocean Avenue across from the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood) with a live band, food trucks, beer garden and vendors. Entertainment will feature Weird Science and Flash Forward, with high energy, ‘80s style musical performances.

On Saturday, June 17, a “Show & Shine” Jeep showcase will be held on the beach at Schellenger Avenue from 9 a.m. until noon, followed by Jeep obstacle course challenges on the beach between Lincoln and Spencer Avenues.

Festivities continue on the Schellenger Avenue beach on Sunday, June 18, with vendors and obstacle course challenges from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as a jungle-themed beach parade beginning at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to decorate their Jeeps, and the winner of the best-decorated Jeep will be awarded a prize.

The Jeep Beach Invasion is FREE for the public to attend; Jeep participants will be charged a registration fee. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation, a nonprofit organization for children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.
