The Tradition Continues at Utsch’s Marina

Celebrating 65 years, Utsch’s Marina continues to serve its customers in the traditional “down home charm” of Southern New Jersey. Today, Ernie III and Charles continue their “hands-on” operation of the family business which was founded by their grandfather and father, Ernest Sr. and Jr., in 1951.

Utsch’s isn’t just home to its dedicated family of 300+ slip-holders; it also serves as a home base for other water activities. The Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center provides not only a fun experience, but an educational one as well, following the migration and antics of our local whales and dolphins. East Coast Parasail lets you experience the island of Cape May “from above.” Or, “jet” around the Cape May Harbor and areas close-by.

Utsch’s Marina is also home to the Utsch’s Marina Charter Fleet, offering various types of fishing trips to all. Want to fish on your own? Captain Fred of the Bait & Tackle Shop can get you “hooked up” with the right bait and equipment needed to catch your dinner for that day, setting you up with a modestly priced rod ‘n reel combo along with live bait including eels, minnows and frozen squid. Make sure you get some tips and pointers from Captain Fred before heading out onto the water!

Have a boat? Pete, the Ship’s Store manager, will assist you in keeping your vessel in tip-top shape. Have a boat elsewhere and want to visit by water? Utsch’s also has transient slips for those who wish to visit Cape May for a few days or more, and beautiful bath houses and a laundromat are available. Stop by the office or call for reservations!

Stop in and say hello, and see for yourself what Utsch’s has to offer. Make Utsch’s Marina your “Home Away From Home…” You will be glad you did!
