‘The Singing Ventriliquist’ Comes to the PAC

The Jersey Shore Pops Brings Family Variety Act to the Shore

As part of the orchestra’s annual Summer Concert Series, on Saturday, July 28, Linda Gentille and the Jersey Shore Pops will present Michael Minor, a popular singing ventriloquist and one-man variety show.

As a singing ventriloquist, Michael can impersonate both old and young entertainers alike from Louis Armstrong to Justin Timberlake.  He will impress you with the speed at which he and his “special guests” take turns singing, as well as amaze you with his dead on impressions.

Michael is a classically trained vocalist who can sing any style of music. While attending Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Michael joined the world renowned Nordic Choir. After college, Michael played many lead roles in musicals all around the country, including, notably, Curly in “Oklahoma.”

After a successful engagement at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Michael moved to Branson, Mo. where he served as emcee, lead vocalist and rider for the Dixie Stampede, and vocalist for the Shoji Tabuchi Show.

Michael also performed at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., where he was a featured entertainer for 10 years.

Michael has been described as a “one-man variety show like you’ve never seen!”

Internationally known, Michael performs on cruise ships and at resorts, amusement parks, retirement communities, schools and churches.

The four-concert Pops Summer Series will be held at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center in Cape May Court House.  Each concert will begin at 7 p.m.
